Privacy & Security
Are my files uploaded to your servers?
No. Every tool runs right in your browser. Your files never leave your device, and we never see them.
How is DukPdf different from other PDF sites?
Most online PDF tools upload your files to a server. DukPdf runs 100% locally, so there's no server to breach, log, or scan your documents.
Do you track anything?
Only with your permission. A banner asks before analytics runs (Google Analytics, counting page visits and tool usage), and under Manage cookies you can fine-tune categories — including an off-by-default ad-click measurement option. Nothing optional runs until you turn it on. We never use personalized ads or remarketing, we never see your files, and we never sell data.
Can I use DukPdf for sensitive or legal documents?
Yes. Because nothing leaves your device, it's safer for sensitive documents than any upload-based service.
Using the Tools
What file sizes are supported?
Most tools accept up to 50 MB per file, with a few going higher — up to 100 MB for tools like Remove Pages, Extract Pages, Add Pages, Organize, and Repair, and up to 200 MB for Compress. Each tool’s upload area shows the exact limit. Limits exist because processing large PDFs in the browser can slow down your machine.
Are there any usage limits?
Two kinds. Every tool has per-file limits — size, page count, and files per batch — shown on its upload area. The free tier also includes up to 10 free conversions per tool each hour (a few popular tools have lower caps); Pro and the Lifetime plan remove the hourly caps.
What about password-protected PDFs?
Yes. Tools like Merge, Split, and Compress work on password-protected PDFs. We'll ask for the password right on the page — it stays on your device and is never sent anywhere. Use Unlock PDF if you'd like to remove the password permanently.
Can I use DukPdf for scanned documents like contracts or invoices?
Yes. Use OCR PDF to extract text from scanned PDFs — you'll end up with a searchable document. Like every other tool, the file is processed entirely in your browser, so sensitive scans never reach a server.
Will my formatting and signatures be preserved?
Yes. Your original layout, fonts, images, form fields, and any embedded signatures stay intact. Tools like Merge, Split, Compress, and Rotate keep your document exactly as the author made it.

Do I need an account to use the tools?
No. All tools work without an account. Sign up only if you want to save preferences or access higher limits in the future.
How do I delete my account?
Contact us at the email below and we'll remove your account and any associated data.
Is DukPdf free?
Yes — every tool is free to use, with no watermarks. The free tier includes hourly conversion caps; DukPdf Pro and the one-time Lifetime plan remove them. That's the whole business: we sell software, never your data.
