Refund & Cancellation Policy

14 days, money back, no questions asked

If DukPdf Pro or the Lifetime plan isn't right for you, tell us within 14 days of being charged and we'll refund you in full. You can cancel a subscription at any time. And nothing in this policy reduces the consumer rights you have under the laws of your own country — it adds to them.

What this policy covers

This policy applies to every paid DukPdf plan: the Pro monthly subscription, the Pro yearly subscription, and the one-time Lifetime plan. It covers purchases made for both the web app and the desktop app — they are the same plan.

All DukPdf purchases are processed by Dodo Payments, our merchant of record — the authorized reseller that charges your payment method, calculates and remits any applicable tax (such as VAT, GST, or sales tax), and issues your invoice. Dodo Payments is the name you may see on your bank statement, and refunds are issued by Dodo Payments back to your original payment method.

The 14-day money-back guarantee

Every plan comes with a 14-day money-back guarantee:

  • New purchases — request a refund within 14 days of your first payment for a plan (including the Lifetime plan) and we will refund it in full, no questions asked.
  • Renewals— if a subscription renews and you didn't mean to keep it, request a refund within 14 days of the renewal charge and we will refund that charge in full.

Any tax charged on the payment is refunded along with it. When a refund is issued, the plan's benefits end and your account returns to the Free plan.

The guarantee is intended to let you try DukPdf risk-free, once — it applies to your first purchase of a given plan, not to repeated buy-refund cycles. This fair-use limit never affects your statutory rights or refunds for renewals described above.

Subscriptions and auto-renewal

Pro subscriptions renew automatically — monthly plans every month, yearly plans every year — at the price shown when you subscribed, until you cancel. Your next billing date is always visible on your plan page, and Dodo Payments emails a receipt for every charge.

If we ever change the price of your subscription, we will tell you by email in advance and you can cancel before the new price takes effect. A price change never applies to a billing period you have already paid for.

How to cancel

You can cancel at any time, and cancelling takes effect at the end of the period you've already paid for — you keep Pro access until then, and you are not charged again. Cancelling is as easy as subscribing:

In the app — go to your plan pageand click “Cancel subscription”. You can change your mind and restore the subscription any time before the period ends.
Via billing portal or email— use the “Manage billing” link on your plan page to open the Dodo Payments customer portal, or email support@dukpdf.com and we'll cancel it for you.

Cancelling stops future charges but is not itself a refund. If you also want the most recent charge refunded, see the guarantee above — within 14 days of a charge, you get both.

How to request a refund

Email support@dukpdf.com from the email address on your account (or reply to your receipt) and mention which payment you'd like refunded. That's all — no forms, no exit interviews.

  • We aim to action refund requests within 2 business days.
  • Refunds are issued by Dodo Payments to your original payment method and typically appear within 5–10 business days, depending on your bank.
  • Refunds are initiated through Dodo Payments within 30 days of a transaction, so please don't sit on a request — if you're in the guarantee window, write to us right away.

Lifetime plan specifics

The Lifetime plan is a one-time payment covered by the same 14-day money-back guarantee. A few things worth knowing:

  • If you upgrade from an active Pro subscription to Lifetime, the subscription is cancelled automatically so you won't be billed again. Refunds for the subscription itself follow the normal 14-day rule.
  • If a Lifetime purchase is refunded, lifetime access ends and, where the deal is slot-limited, the slot is released.
  • What “lifetime” means — the lifetime of the DukPdf product, not yours or ours separately — is defined in our Terms & Conditions.

Your statutory rights

This is a voluntary guarantee, offered on top of — never instead of — the consumer protections of your country. Nothing in this policy excludes, restricts, or modifies rights that the law does not allow us to exclude.

  • United Kingdom & European Union — consumers have a 14-day right to cancel distance purchases of digital content and services. At checkout you consent to immediate access, which the law treats as waiving that right for supplied digital content — but because our own guarantee is also 14 days and has no such condition, you lose nothing in practice. UK consumers additionally have remedies under the Consumer Rights Act 2015 if digital content is faulty.
  • Australia — our services come with guarantees that cannot be excluded under the Australian Consumer Law. If there is a major failure with the Service, you are entitled to cancel and receive a refund for the unused portion, or to compensation for its reduced value; for other failures, you are entitled to have the problem fixed in a reasonable time. This policy is in addition to those rights. We will never refuse a remedy the Australian Consumer Law entitles you to.
  • United States & Canada — this guarantee applies alongside any non-waivable rights under your state or provincial consumer-protection laws.

Chargebacks

If a charge looks wrong, please email us before disputing it with your bank — we resolve almost everything within a couple of days, and a refund is faster for you than a chargeback. Disputes and chargebacks are handled by Dodo Payments as the merchant of record.

Changes to this policy

If we change this policy, we will update the “Last updated” date at the top of this page and, for material changes, email account holders. A change never reduces the refund rights attached to a purchase you have already made.
