Merge PDF files online

How to Merge PDF files

1

Add your PDFs

Click “Select files” or drag and drop two or more PDFs. You can add up to 50 files at once.

2

Reorder pages

All pages from all files appear as thumbnails. Drag any page to move it. Cross-file reordering works the same as within a single file. Rotate pages with the rotate icon if needed.

3

Merge and download

Click “Merge”. The combined file saves to your Downloads. Original files are never modified.

Every step runs in your browser. No server uploads, no waiting.

Why use this tool

DukPdf’s Merge PDF tool combines two or more PDF files into a single document in your browser. Drag to reorder pages across files, rotate individual pages, and download the combined result. All merging runs locally — your files never leave your device. If you need to split a merged file back into separate files, use Split PDF. To remove specific pages from a file before merging, use Remove Pages. For a deeper guide with step-by-step instructions, see our merge PDF guide.

Merge PDF — questions

Is Merge PDF really free?

Yes. Completely free, with no account required, no email, and no watermark on the output. DukPdf Pro lifts file size and batch limits for heavy users.

How many PDFs can I merge at once?

Up to 50 PDFs in a single merge. For very large batches, DukPdf Pro lifts the limit further.

Will merging reduce quality?

No. The merge only rearranges pages and copies streams — it does not re-render or recompress. Output pages are byte-identical to the input.

Are my PDFs uploaded to a server?

No. The merge runs entirely in your browser using qpdf compiled to WebAssembly. Open DevTools → Network tab while merging — zero upload requests.

Can I rearrange pages from different files?

Yes. All pages from all uploaded files appear in a single thumbnail grid. Drag any page to reorder it across the entire merged document.

Will bookmarks and metadata be preserved?

Bookmarks from the first file are preserved. Document metadata (title, author) from other files is not carried over — use Edit Metadata on the result if you need a specific title.
