Add your PDF

Click “Select file” or drag and drop a PDF. The document opens in the signing editor.

Every step runs in your browser. No server uploads, no waiting.

Why use this tool

DukPdf’s Sign PDF tool lets you add a typed, drawn, or uploaded signature to any PDF directly in your browser. Place it on any page, resize, and download the signed document — the signature is embedded into the PDF without any server processing. Your contract, NDA, or offer letter never leaves your device. To learn how DukPdf keeps your documents private, see our privacy approach. After signing, use Protect PDF to password-lock the signed file. Sign PDF — questions

Is my signature uploaded to a server?

No. Your signature is created and stored locally in your browser. It is embedded directly into the PDF without any server processing. Open DevTools → Network tab while signing — zero upload requests.

What types of signatures can I use?

Typed (type your name and pick a font), drawn (use your mouse, trackpad, or touch screen), or uploaded (an image of your signature from your device). All three work the same way and are embedded into the PDF.

Is an electronic signature from DukPdf legally binding?

Electronic signature laws vary by country and document type. DukPdf creates a standard PDF with your signature embedded — consult local regulations (such as the U.S. ESIGN Act or EU eIDAS) for the specific requirements of your document. DukPdf does not provide legal advice.

Can I add initials or a date alongside the signature?

Yes. The signing editor supports multiple text elements, dates, and checkboxes on the same page. Place the signature on the signature line and add a date stamp next to it.

Can I sign a password-protected PDF?

Yes. You’ll be prompted for the password before signing. The signed result is saved without the password — re-protect it with Protect PDF if needed.

Will the signature work in any PDF reader?

Yes. The signature is flattened into the PDF as a visual element. It opens and displays correctly in Adobe Acrobat, Preview, Chrome, and every other PDF reader.
