Add pages to a PDF

How to Add pages to a PDF

1

Add your PDF

Click “Select file” or drag and drop a PDF. The page list appears once the file loads.

2

Choose position and size

Select A4 or Letter page size. Choose where to insert the new page — before a specific page, after a specific page, or at the very end.

3

Insert and download

Click “Add Page”. The new file (with the blank page inserted) saves to your Downloads. The original file is unchanged.

Every step runs in your browser. No server uploads, no waiting.

Why use this tool

DukPdf’s Add Pages tool inserts blank pages into a PDF at any position. Choose A4 or Letter page size, and place the new pages before or after any existing page. All insertion runs in your browser — your file never leaves your device. To remove existing pages instead, use Remove Pages. To reorder pages, use Rearrange Pages. For a step-by-step guide, see our add pages guide.

Add Pages — questions

What page size will the blank page be?

A4 by default, with the option to switch to US Letter. The blank page matches the size you choose in the tool, not the size of the existing pages.

Can I add multiple blank pages at once?

Yes. Specify how many blank pages to insert and their positions. The tool will add all of them in one pass.

Is the file uploaded during page insertion?

No. Insertion runs entirely in your browser using qpdf compiled to WebAssembly. Open DevTools → Network tab — zero upload requests.

Where can I insert the blank page?

Before any specific page, after any specific page, or at the very beginning or end of the document. The position is precise — you choose exactly where the new page goes.

Will the blank page have a header or footer?

No. The inserted page is completely blank — no header, footer, page number, or other content. It is a true blank page.

Can I add a blank page to a password-protected PDF?

Yes. You’ll be prompted for the password before insertion. The output file is saved without the password.
