Why use this tool

DukPdf’s PDF to JPG tool extracts pages from a PDF and saves them as JPG images directly in your browser. Choose specific pages or convert the whole document — multi-page outputs are bundled in a ZIP automatically. All extraction happens locally, so pages from confidential PDFs never leave your device. Need to go the other direction? Use JPG to PDF. To crop a page before extracting, use Crop PDF first. For a step-by-step guide, see our PDF to JPG guide.

PDF to JPG — questions

What resolution are the extracted images?

Images render at 150 DPI by default — sharp enough for screen and most print use. The resolution matches the source PDF’s embedded image data, so text-heavy pages stay crisp.

Can I extract just specific pages?

Yes. Enter page numbers (1, 3, 7) or ranges (3-5, 8-12) in the page selector. Unselected pages are skipped.

Will the images keep the PDF’s formatting?

Yes. Each page is rendered as a faithful JPG snapshot — fonts, layout, colors, and images are preserved. The output is what you see when you open the PDF in a reader.

Can I convert multiple PDFs at once?

Yes. Drop several files and each one is converted independently. Results are returned as a single ZIP containing folders for each source PDF.

Are my PDFs uploaded during conversion?

No. Extraction runs entirely in your browser using PDF.js and a canvas renderer. Zero upload requests in the Network tab.

Can I get PNG instead of JPG?

The tool outputs JPG by default for smaller file size. If you need PNG (for transparency or lossless quality), use JPG to PDF after converting, or contact us — PNG output is a planned addition.
