Every page is converted, not just the first: a fifty-page document gives you fifty images, each rendered at 150 DPI by default with a High option at 300 DPI for print. JPG is the format to pick when file size matters or the page carries photographs; its encoder starts at 92% quality, which is visually indistinguishable from lossless on most pages at a fraction of the bytes. If a form caps your upload, set a target in the size row — from 50KB to 2MB per image — and the tool finds the best quality that fits it; the 200KB and 100KB pages open with the common portal limits preselected. What resolution are the extracted images?

Normal renders every page at 150 DPI — sharp on screen and fine for everyday print. High renders at 300 DPI for production print. An A4 page comes out around 1240×1754 pixels at Normal and 2480×3508 at High; the renderer caps any single image at 8192 pixels on its longest side.

How do I control the JPG file size?

Set a target in the size row — 50KB up to 2MB per image — and the tool searches from full quality downward for the best version that fits. Each rung also has its own page that opens preconfigured: under 200KB for the common portal cap, under 50KB for the strictest ones.

Can I extract just specific pages?

Yes. Enter page numbers (1, 3, 7) or ranges (3-5, 8-12) in the page selector. Unselected pages are skipped and cost nothing — only the pages you keep are rendered.

Will the images keep the PDF’s formatting?

Yes. Each page is rendered as a faithful JPG snapshot — fonts, layout, colors, and images are preserved. The output is what you see when you open the PDF in a reader, flattened into pixels: form fields and annotations appear as they display, but stop being interactive.

What happens with a very long document?

A 500-page PDF produces 500 JPGs, bundled into a ZIP so your Downloads folder is not flooded. Rendering is page by page on your own machine, so a long document takes time and memory in proportion — nothing is offloaded to a server at any length.

Can I convert multiple PDFs at once?

Yes. Drop several files and each one is converted independently. Results are returned as a single ZIP containing folders for each source PDF.

Are my PDFs uploaded during conversion?

No. Extraction runs entirely in your browser using PDF.js and a canvas renderer. Zero upload requests in the Network tab.

Can I get PNG instead of JPG?
